Sunday 6th October 2024 - Upcoming Talk by Rob Tierney
Rob Tierney will present a talk about how he liberated a Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter from the Argentinians after the Falklands conflict. The talk will be in the Nissen hut on Thursday 6th November 2024, 18:00-20:00.
Free to members or £5 on the door to non members. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided.

Nick will present a talk on winter flying and carb icing in the Nissen hut on Thursday 17th October 2024, 18:00-20:00.

Tuesday 1st October 2024 - Night Rating
We are now taking bookings for night rating training or refresher training for night flying.
Thruxton allows night flying training from 1st November to 31st January, Mondays to Thursdays 30 minutes after sunset to 19:00 GMT.
Sunday 2nd September 2024 - Safety at The Farnborough International Airshow Talk
Richard Pillans, Flight Director at The Farnborough International Airshow, gave a very interesting and informative talk about the difficulties of maintaining the traditions of the airshow to comply with ever demanding safety requirements in a more risk adverse society compared to the one when the airshow was first created.
Sunday 4th August 2024 - Opening day BBQ
Kurusha Flying School & Club launched with a BBQ and drinks social event inviting pilots, students and anyone interested in learning to fly to come and meet us.
We were blessed with perfect weather and a good turn out with around 30 people attending.
A free raffle for Pooleys equipment was also thrown in.
